Toiling away today in a cyber-cafe after the home-PC fell under a bus. All donations welcome!
I went to the presentation of 'Mojácar Positiva' last night, a group that describes itself as a 'political lobby' which is keen to support - it claims - any political group which is prepared to work for the town's future. As most of Mojácar's politicians (wives, hangers-on etc) are at FITUR in Madrid (travel and tourist fair), only two party leaders turned up for the event - Gabriel Flores (ex mayor NGM) and Diego García (PAL), plus a reduced number of supporters and 'the curious'. The group is led by Jeff Gard, a retired engineer, and was presented last night by José Luis Cano (ex councillor for tourism).
The next political meeting will be on Saturday 30th at 11.00am in the Hotel Continental: the Ciudadanos Europeos de Mojácar. I'll speak along with Angel Medina.
