Capitalism

If, like me, you admire capitalism in all its excess, you will want to watch Michael Moore's 'Capitalism, a Love Story'. Here's a website I found which has a number of documentaries called, appropriately enough, Documentary Heaven. Better and better.
It's a wonderful thing, the Internet. Especially when it's free!

Property Blues on the BBC
Sunday 14 March 2010 - 01:44:31
Well, let's see: Spain has consistently ignored the subject of the tens of thousands of illegal homes sold, mostly, to northern Europeans and denied any responsibility for the fall-out. In fact, the subject is barely touched on by the media here who are all beholden to larger interests. The result has been, in a time of deep recession and job-loss, another door to prosperity firmly shut.
In the last couple of months, two small and slightly cynical initiatives have been introduced - one is the official real estate agency called Spanish Homes Network (the banks have well over a million homes to dispose of) and the second is the recent announcement of a Spanish property agent to be incorporated into the Alicante and Málaga British consulates.
Neither of which will do anything for the tens of thousands of aggrieved and frightened property owners mentioned above.
The Northern European homeowners fight quietly back. We have associations (see the Entertainer Online links), we have demonstrations (there's a big one this Wednesday 17th in Málaga City and a second, for Chiclana, on March 20th) and we have massive exposure on British TV.
The latest program will be a documentary to be broadcast on March 30th by the BBC.
