There are round about 800 places in Mojácar during the 'high season' where you can get a drink. Right now, let's call it 250. Each with two or three people working and waiting for clients. Now, after a long day I really need a beer... but since I know there's a police control down by the petrol station, and I can't afford a fine... I shall stay home.

José Antonio Griñán, the President of the Junta de Andalucía, has had a cabinet reshuffle. Martín Soler, the Almería politician who was Minister for Science and Innovation, is out, as are several others, notably including Juan Espadas, the Councillor for Viviendas, who was last heard of a few days ago warning the European owners of those '100,000 illegal homes' scattered across Andalucía not to get cute. His successor is the ex-IU mayoress of Cordoba and now Independent PSOE Rosa Aguilar.
