I've had a couple of queries about a program on the BBC I mentioned in the latest Reader about the 'illegal homes' in the Almanzora Valley. I have received this from Elaine: 'In case any one else wants to know. BBC Wales is channel 972. From what I can see, the program in question is on a program entitled "Week in Week out" and this particular episode is called Helldorado (about a Welsh couple's misfortunes here) comes on Tuesday March 30th: 10:30 pm ...11:30pm our time'.
I have also received a note that some news that is appearing in the Spanish press (I saw it in the Diario de Cadiz yesterday) about the 'Albox Eight' who received demolition orders on their homes over Christmas being in some way 'saved' by the efforts of a local legal practice may be somewhat exaggerated.

There are several art exhibitions that begin this week. The best appears to be one at the Miguel Angel Gallery (at the big roundabout by Rio Abajo) on Mojácar Playa with paintings from José María Barroso. The pictures I've seen so far show a very talented artist. The show starts Wednesday and runs through to May 15th.
Other exhibitions include a collective of artists starting also on Wednesday and running through April at the Mojácar town gallery below the 'Castillo'. Ruth Rodman is at the Parador and acclaimed sculptor Ulli Butz is showing April 1st to 4th only at Castillo de San Felipe in the Parque cabo de Gata-Nijar (11 - 14 and 17 -20h). For your art-appreciation and pleasure, don't forget a drink at the amazing Delfos Gallery, evenings, on the Turre-Mojácar road.
