Phew! - Saving the Banks

The Government is to rule that land which has been declared 'urbano' and has not been built on (due to unforeseen circumstances, ahem!) in the regulation time period, will not be returned to 'rústico' for an extra three years, thus helping keep the struggling banks bottom-line from deteriorating further. Banks heavily extended with currently valueless building-land have been given a breather against what is hoped to be 'better times'. This is part of the 'Acuerdo de Zurbano' agreed with the Government and opposition parties to try and wallpaper up the cracks in the national economy to be announced this Friday.
