Eat Mojácar
Tuesday 05 June 2012 - 01:33:19
I sometimes suggest in gentle criticism that there is more to eat in Mojácar than ajo colorado, gachas, pelotas and migas. Not that you would think so reading the new Mojácar Magazine put out by the Tourist Office (in its defence, a beautifully produced mag with superb photos). Now comes a new initiative by a number of Mojácar restaurants - Spanish ones of course - to promote our area with 'Eat Mojácar: Gastronomic Events' (June 28th to July 8th). The rules for participation from the Tourist Office or from Lydia (La Fromagerie in Mojácar village).
While this all sounds fun, don't forget that Mojácar has a splendid number of fine restaurants that stray from the Almerían cuisine, including Thai, Italian, Chinese, Indian, British, French, Greek, American, Irish, German... and I'm sure I've missed a few.
