Political Threat

The internationally acclaimed novelist, journalist and inventor Alberto Vázquez Figueroa, said on a radio interview over the weekend that the only answer to the current crisis in Spain is to take twenty politicians and twenty bankers... and string em up. In a public square. 'I'm not kidding', he said, 'we need to do what they'd do in China, for crimes against the State'. He also told an amusing story of how a politician, served bail for three million euros for massive public fraud, managed to borrow the money from a bank where he had lots of pals who he had 'looked after'. As an amusing aside, the bank went bust shortly after...
Meanwhile, on the other side of the fence. Dolores de Cospedal, the spokesperson for the Government, recently said in an interview that 'we are all in the same boat and anyone who thinks he is not may well drown'. She was aiming her barb at the Catalonian and Andalucian governments, which don't want to rein in their public spending as advised by the Government.
One way or another, c'est bon de tuer de temps en temps un amiral pour encourager les autres.
